Kontribusi Project Based Learning Berbasis Filantropi Islam Terhadap Pembentukan Karakter Peduli Sosial Mahasiswa

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kontribusi Project Based Learning (PBL) berbasis filantropi Islam terhadap pembentukan karakter peduli sosial mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada kebutuhan pendidikan tinggi untuk melakukan penguatan karakter peduli sosial mahasiswa di tengah kompleksitas tantangan sosial kontemporer. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional deskriptif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester pertama pada Program Studi Pendidikan Dokter Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar yang mengikuti mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Islam. Implementasi PBL diwujudkan melalui Proyek Fikih Al-Ma’un yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam, khususnya ajaran filantrofi, seperti infak, sedekah, zakat, dan wakaf ke dalam pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket skala Likert. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini adalah PBL berbasis filantropi Islam memiliki kontribusi empiris yang bermakna terhadap pembentukan karakter peduli sosial mahasiswa. Dimensi internalisasi nilai filantropi Islam, aksi sosial nyata, dan refleksi sosial-moral memberikan kontribusi yang lebih dominan dibandingkan dimensi yang bersifat teknis dan administratif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi nilai keagamaan yang eksplisit dalam PBL berpotensi memperkuat pendidikan karakter yang kontekstual dan berorientasi pada tanggung jawab sosial mahasiswa.
