Internalization of Religious Moderation Values in Islamic Studies Lectures

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research with a phenomenological approach aims to further explore the internalization of moderation values with the ideology of ahlusunnah wal jama'ah an-nahdliyah to prevent the rapid development of radicalism and extremism among student culture. Data collection techniques used semi-structured interviews. The results of the research show that the form of internalizing the values of religious moderation to prevent the development of radicalism among students is realized by incorporating the values of religious moderation into courses in the religious category, one of which is the Islamic studies course. Internalizing the values of religious moderation through the lecture process, integrating the values of religious moderation through various activities of student units which are directly supported by the campus such as PMII, LP2M and UKM Pagar Nusa, internalizing the values of religious moderation through engaging in activities in the community such as KKN with the theme of religious moderation .
